Orchestra of Samples

We’ve began work on our new performance project Orchestra of Samples. It’s a long-term all encompassing sampling extravaganza, featuring recorded musicians from around the world, from Mexico to Senegal, Brazil to France. Sampling ‘sans frontières’ you might say!
For the project, a large number of artists are participating; both young talent and known artists from their respective fields, playing everything from traditional instruments like West African Huddu guitar and Eastern European lute-style Cobza to Latin American harmony singing and UK rap, in a boundary-crossing project that celebrates the fusion of musical genres and styles.

Click here to go to the blog and to see all the recording sessions and who's taken part in the project so far.  Click on any of the thumbnail images in the galleries to open the photos.
We're sampling all these recording sessions to create new compositions, aiming to show audiences that all forms of music can move beyond their respective niches, and blend with each other to create something new.
